Our Story

A labour
of love

Built inside a restored 1910 Salvation Army hall, Salvation is designed from the ground up for sound. The space combines world-class acoustics, carefully curated vintage equipment and an inspiring and creative atmosphere.

Salvation Studios is the result of five obsessive years of renovation — a longstanding piece of Brighton history transformed into a world-class recording facility.

Designed by world-renowned acoustician and architect John Flynn — the man behind the control rooms of both Olympic and Abbey Road Studios — every room was built from the ground up with one purpose: to help musicians capture the sound in their heads.

The result is a beautifully finished, massive-sounding, and deeply inspiring place to make music.

The Main Studio

The heart of Salvation. A stunning live room with vaulted ceilings and exceptional acoustics, paired with a control room centred around a vintage Neve console, ATC monitoring and an exceptional collection of analogue outboard. Designed for all types of sessions, especially bands, ensembles and large-scale projects.

Live Room

Bathed in natural light beneath a striking stained-glass window, the live room combines architectural character with exceptional acoustics. Featuring flexible isolation spaces, clear sight-lines throughout, a gallery level, and programmable lighting, it is designed to support a wide range of recording, performance, and production needs.

Isolation & Amp Booths

The Main Studio features a range of dedicated recording spaces, including two large isolation booths, a vocal booth, and a dedicated amp booth. Designed for flexibility, these spaces enable multiple instruments and performances to be recorded simultaneously while maintaining excellent isolation and clarity.

The Bunker

The Bunker is Salvation’s dedicated production, writing and mixing studio, combining a vintage Neve 54-series console and boutique analogue equipment. Designed for writing, production, overdubs, and mixing, it offers access to high-end analogue gear within an intimate, creative environment, complemented by a curated collection of rare synthesizers and keyboards as well as an upright piano.
