Main live room at Salvation Studios Brighton
Studio Overview

Our spaces

A restored 1910 hall built around a main studio featuring a dramatic live room, precise control room and versatile isolation options as well as a self-contained writing, overdub, production and mixing suite.

A space for every project.

Whether it's writing, recording, mixing or filming a live performance Salvation has a versatile range of creative spaces to accommodate any project. The main studio provides large scale recording for bands, strings ensembles and videographers and grants access to our 70's Neve 8068 console, ATC monitoring system and our spacious live room.

The Bunker gives writers and producers a well equipped production space to write, record vocals and overdubs and mix using a large variety of analogue outboard equipment. Our mezzanine room and subterranean room also offer inspiring writing spaces and are perfect for writing camps.

Control room and recording complex at Salvation Studios

The Main Studio

The main studio complex centres on a restored 1910 Salvation Army concert hall — a 13-metre vaulted tracking room designed by world-renowned acoustician John Flynn, with a fully floated floor, retractable glass-fronted isolation booths and natural light through a stained-glass window. The purpose-built control room houses a fully restored 1973 Neve 8068 console and ATC soffit-mounted monitors, with full sightlines into the live floor.
